New 'Ever-Blooming' European flower finally arrives in India
Gardeners report non-stop flowers for months

NEW DELHI – A wave of excitement is sweeping through gardening communities across India.
Home gardeners, from retired hobbyists in Pune to young apartment dwellers in Bangalore, are reporting remarkable results from a newly available imported flower variety that, in their words, “simply refuses to stop blooming.”

Sunita Sharma, a 45-year-old teacher from Bangalore, was one of the first to try the new seeds. “I was skeptical,” she admits.
“Most flowers here bloom and then they are done, especially with our weather. But with these… it’s been three months, and my pots are still overflowing.
I cut some flowers for a vase, and two weeks later, new stalks shoot up in their place. It’s like magic.”

So, what makes this plant different?
We spoke to Dr. Alok Kumar, a horticulturist who has studied plant hybrids for over a decade.
“This isn’t magic, it’s modern plant science,” he explains. “This is a premium F1 hybrid, bred in Europe specifically for a trait called ‘continuous blooming’.
Unlike traditional varieties that have one main flowering cycle, this plant is programmed to constantly produce new flower spikes throughout its season.”
He adds, “What’s particularly impressive is that while it has the beautiful, sought-after lavender colour, it’s a Snapdragon – a plant that is much more forgiving in India’s cooler seasons than actual lavender, which can be very difficult to grow here.”
The company that has exclusively secured these imported seeds for the Indian market, Plant Heaven, says the response has been overwhelming.
